Snowy entrance to Havre de Grace MD
Enjoy Havre de Grace

Our small city offers an interesting variety of things to do whether you live here or visit. From cozy restaurants to quaint boutiques, collectibles to fashion, pub music to classical concerts, art galleries to beautiful murals, plus much more are ready to tickle your fancy.

We aren't called "the meeting place" for no reason. Folks meet here to share a meal, to walk the promenade or take the kids to the parks. Various interest groups meet here to share their passion: decoy carvers, wooden boat builders, lighthouse lovers, history buffs, sailors, powerboaters, those who love to hike and bike and kayak, and just folks who love the friendly community with casual dining of the finest quality, great shops to browse with your favorite shopaholic friend, and art everywhere.

Add six museums, a number of fine art galleries, various music and art programs, events too many to number, and it adds up to a beautiful city to spend a very long weekend. We know that some of you end up moving here.

Outdoors

We have many city parks and trails available for those of you looking to just wander a bit. Of course, browsing the shops is always a great outdoor - as well as indoor - activity.

There are playgrounds for the kids, bikes and kayaks to rent, the beautiful promenade to walk along. So many wonderful venues for the avid photographer. Sailing lessons are available, as well as parasailing adventures and fishing charters. Our waterfront views are not only spectacular but also great solace to the person who is a bit tired of the hustle and bustle of balancing jobs and family.

Here, where the mighty Susquehanna River flows into the head of the Upper Chesapeake Bay, there are things to do.... and reasons to do nothing!

I'll be watchin' for ya! Ellie
